Help for a Problem Receiving Email from the Service Desk System

Some students have reported problems receiving email from the Service Desk System. These problems can occur when trying to confirm your registration, when trying to change your password, or when trying to receive any other kind of email from the server. Here are some recommendations for solving these problems:

  • Make sure that you are looking for mail from the correct sender. The sender name on emails from the server is iCourse JIRA Email Server. The sender's email address is iCourseJIRA@ligent.net
  • Make sure that email from the Service Desk Server is not being caught in a junk filter by your email client. Look for the missing email in a folder named junk. If emails from the server are getting caught there, then place the server email address on a whitelist to assure that they will not be caught in the future.
  • Make sure that email from the Service Desk Server is not being caught in a clutter filter by your email client. Look for the missing email in a folder named clutter. If emails from the server are getting caught there, then place the server email address on a whitelist to assure that they will not be caught in the future.

One of the solutions above is likely to solve your problem. If, after trying all of the solutions above, you cannot solve your problem, please contact me for help via text or voice using my mobile phone at 847-650-9706.
